Zambia - Chande Project (http://www.chandeproject.org/)

In 2007, MBC sent a group of all ages to Kitwe, Zambia to work at the Chande Orphanage and school. The trip included music, teacher encouragement, and "building bridges". The orphanage and related projects continue to be supported and a smaller group returned to Zambia during the summer of 2008.

At the Chande Orphanage in Kitwe, Zambia, the teachers work with the upper level students in math and science to help them prepare for the state exams.  Chande has a record of scoring very high on these exams, in part due to the additional teachers we help support.  Also, funds were sent to cover the cost of electrifying the fence around the compound (needed for security).
